Miller Advanced Research & Solutions Center
The Miller Advanced Research & Solutions (MARS) Center bridges the gap between research and development (R&D), and production manufacturing for hypersonic and aerospace applications.
We perform pilot-scale development, manufacturing, and testing of high-temperature composite materials for hypersonic applications.
You bring the problem, we develop it, test it, deliver the data, and your project is production ready with proof of performance. All our work is done in-house.
Check out what the MARS Center can accomplish for you, and get started on your project today.

Facility Highlights
The MARS Center complies with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and follows Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 requirements for secure data management and handling.
Our unique facility is capable of a wide range of composite materials testing, manufacturing, and prototyping featuring:
- 20,000-square-foot high bay facility
- 2,500-degree Celsius maximum processing temperature
- Vertically integrated carbon/carbon and ceramic matrix composite factory
- Mach 8 Wind Tunnel (in progress)

Why MARS?
Here’s how our process works:
- Bring your problem: You provide a statement of work. We scope the project, provide a quote, and get it under contract. Our technical team is involved from the start.
- We do the work: Development, prototyping, testing, and characterization is all done in-house. We update you with regular check-ins, and we move fast because we have a small team without traditional bottlenecks.
- You get the data: We provide final deliverables, full reporting, and a clear technology transfer pathway. You walk away with the proof you need to move to production, and you keep the intellectual property (IP).

For Industry Partners
Every project at the MARS Center is worked on by students — high school and college — mentored by experienced industry professionals.
When the project's done, those students know your materials, your processes, your standards, and they're ready for you to hire.
University Internships
Our internships are open to students from all universities.
Industrial Advisory Board
Industry partners shape the vision and strategy of the center. We develop curriculum and talent strategy to meet industry and government workforce needs.
